The year 2020 will be an exciting year for smartphones, one especially for Apple. This year we have rumors of Poco F2, Samsung Galaxy S11, Pixel 4A, and Apple launching affordable iPhone 12 for a price lower than $500. As much surprising as it is, it seems there is some solid info to support this news.

The company is actually going to launch four new devices, and they will be unveiled in March 2020 when Apple mostly announces its new devices. One among these will be a smaller, more compact version with a screen size of 5.4-inch; the other two phones will feature a 6.1-inch display, whereas the premium Pro model will feature a 6.7-inch screen.

A blog claims to have information from Apple’s supply chain in China that the new models will have 7.4mm of thickness, which is nearly 10% thinner than the current iPhone 11 Pro Max at 8.1mm. It also confirms that the phone will have the same triple-camera setup as previous iPhones but with bigger camera lenses.

The new iPhone 12 models with 6.1-inch displays will feature a dual-camera setup, and all the four phones will have the new A14 Bionic chip with 5G capability. Apart from the cameras, it is expected that all the iPhones will pack an OLED display.

But there are more shocking rumors.

Return of Touch ID and Home button

Some reports claim that Apple has been working on iPhone 9 to bring the touch ID and home button back. If this is true that that iPhone will look mostly like the iPhone 8. But it makes no sense why Apple would do something like that because most manufacturers are choosing the in-display fingerprint scanner.

It would be great to see if Apple opts for in-display fingerprint scanner instead of a physical one. There would be just more screen, and we all can agree that we obviously want that.

iPhone 12 is tipped to launch in the first quarter of March 2020; it is said that among four devices, two devices will bring an affordable price tag. They may cost just $399 for 64GB of storage, it means you can own the iPhone for only Rs 28,000.

This step indicates how Apple sees OnePlus and companies like Xiaomi as their prime competition. As both these companies sold devices with flagship specs at this price range. While Xiaomi has less effect, OnePlus has captured a big chunk of the premium market from Apple.

What’s next after iPhone 12?

We have gotten to a stage where smartphone innovation has reached its peak, and the only thing that can be improved now is the cameras. Apple has been doing an outstanding job in the camera department since the launch of the Apple iPhone 11; if you were blow by that triple camera setup, wait till you see the iPhone 12 cameras.
