The phone is packed with a lot of special features to get the customer excited again for Samsung A series of phones. I have shown the specs above, so check them out first. Instead of talking about the specs, let’s see what the phone has to offer you with a price tag of Rs 30k.
Some of the new features that you may have fun using are the Super Steady Video recording that is present in the Galaxy A71’s video camera feature. The mode is supposed to reduce your hand movement and noise from the video. The same feature is also present in the Samsung Galaxy 10 Lite. The mode does work, but it has some issues in 4K while it works perfectly in 1080p. Hopefully, this phone doesn’t have the same.
Other interesting features include Samsung Pay that lets you use your credit and debit cards by just adding them to your phone. Also, there is a ‘Finder’ feature similar to the search bar we find in Windows and macOS on the desktop. It helps you search for anything from popular apps installed on your phone like entertainment, media, news, games, and much more.
Furthermore, there is also a smart crop feature present that lets you edit, save, or share your screenshots with just a single tap. The Samsung Galaxy A71 also comes with the company’s own proprietary Samsung Knox for enhanced security.
The phone actually launched in Vietnam in December only last year alongside Samsung Galaxy A51. There were two variants launched, but in India, only one variant will be on sale.
The phone will be available in Prism Crush Blue, Prism Crush Silver, and Prism Crush Black. It will be available to buy from February 24 from all online portals like Samsung.com and Opera House. The price is Rs 29,999 for 8GB + 128GB variant.
Should you buy the Samsung Galaxy A71?
With specs like Snapdragon 730, Quad camera setup, AMOLED display, and 25W fast charging sound good. But when compared to the likes of Poco X2 (has 120Hz display), OnePlus 7T (flagship processor), and Oppo Reno (better camera), the price tag of Rs 29,999 seems a bit overpriced.
I advise you to pick a Poco X2 as it has a better display and rest of the same specs. Even the OnePlus 7T is a good option as by adding 5k more; you can get a flagship processor. But Samsung Galaxy A71 still has some benefits like Samsung Pay, which is absent from most above phones. So, it is up to you to decide whether to pay 30k just for Samsung pay or go with some other option.
The phone is now available to buy from Flipkart for ₹35,599 and is available in only 8GB/128GB variant. It packs Snapdragon 730
